Bisquick Recipes; Hearty Chicken Pot Pie
Ingredients
1 packet (16 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables, thaw1 cup cooked chicken
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) of cream of cream of chicken soup
1 cup original Bisquick ™ mix
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Instuctions
Do not darken the screen while you are cooking.- Preheat the oven to 400 ° F. Combine the vegetables, chicken and soup in a 2 quart casserole.
- Stir the remaining ingredients in a small bowl with a fork before mixing. Pour into a casserole.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Expert Advice
- Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme leaves, dried sage or pepper if desired.
- Use condensed cream with mushroom soup or condensed cheese soup instead of chicken to give this dish a completely new flavor!
- For a Hearty Pie in a pot of beef, use 1 cup of cooked chopped leftover or gourmet beef instead of chicken and condensed cream of mushroom soup instead of chicken cream.
