MEATBALL SUB BUBBLE-UP BAKE
Ingredients
1 can (16.3 oz) of Pillsbury ™ Grands! ™ Southern Homestyle chilled Original cookies (8 biscuits)
1 packet (16 ounces) of frozen Italian meatballs
1 green bell pepper, diced, braised
3 cups marinara sauce
2 cup Italian Cheese Mix (8 oz)
Grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 ° F.
- Divide the dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each cookie into 6 pieces; place in a large bowl. Add meatballs, fried bell pepper and marinara sauce; stir until well coated.
- Pour into a non-oiled 13x9 inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle the Italian cheese mixture evenly on top.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until slices of biscuit swell and the cheese melts and becomes golden brown.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and, if necessary, chopped fresh basil before serving.
Expert Advice
- Save the leftovers for a good lunch the next day.
- Add mushrooms instead of (or in addition to) sweet pepper for a little twist.
